Day 1- arriving in the beautiful city of Paro to Thimphu

Duration - 1.5 hours

Fly from the chaos of your city to the international airport in Paro. The clear weather witnesses the scenic beauty of the Himalayas and the sensational Mount Everest. On arrival, you will be received by our team and thereby welcomes in the land of peace. You will be taken to your Thimpu by a private vehicle. As per the schedule of sightseeing, we will proceed for the sightseeing (depending on your arrival time) or relax in the accommodation

Visiting weekend market- we will be visiting the weekend market (Thu-Sun). the weekend market is known for assembling of vegetable vendors from across the county!

After this, the evening will be followed by exploring the city by walk or visiting Tashiccho Dzong which is known for the throne rooms of His Majesty the King.

 

Day 2 - Thimphu sightseeing

After breakfast, we will visit the folk heritage houses to understand the lifestyle of Bhutanese rural people. Next, we would visit the School of Arts and Crafts where the students are taught different arts for 4 years of graduation.

The sightseeing also includes driving pass the memorial of the late 3rd King and then visiting the Buddha viewpoint which has the largest sitting Buddha! Then we will visit the Taken Reserve which has a history so unique of the creation behind it to engage the mind.then we will visit the Textile museum collection house to see the expensive textiles of Bhutan.

 

Day 3- Thimphu sightseeing, Punakha

After breakfast, we will drive to Punakha. The route involves the beautiful Dochula pass. For the photographer inside you, the candle-like 108 Druk Wangyel Chortens on the pass will give you the best photos.

When the weather is clear, you will be enthralled by the gorgeous view of the highest mountains which stretch over the sight of 180 degrees. When the break Is over, the downhill drive begins with scenes to behold. Next comes the visit to Lamperi Botanical garden to understand about the flora fauna in Bhutan. Then we will on the way to visit the spectacular Punakha Dzong where you will see the best examples of arts of Bhutan. Then comes the suspension bridge over the Male river which is the longest in Bhutan and you can enjoy your time there. The day ends with joining the nuns in prayers.

 

Day 4- Punakha to Phobjikha

Duration-  3 hours

After the breakfast, we will hike to the temple of fertility- Chimi Lhakhang. After this, get ready for a beautiful escape to valley of black necked crane and rhododendron forest Phobjikha ! it is also called as Gantey.  We will stop to see the ruins of Wangdue fortress which is under construction. As we drive from Wangdue to Phobjikha, enjoy the scenic and beautiful drive as we cross the beautiful Pelela range to enter the valley.

May to June visitors would be greeted with beautiful rhododendron and November to February ones will be able to bless their eyes with the view of rare bird black necked cranes.  On arrival, we will visit Gangtey Gompa which is the oldest and largest monastery. From the temple, we will be taking the the downhill gangtey trail which is of 2 hours. However, the walk is not supposed to be undertaken in rainy season. If the time permits, we will visit the crane center which houses information about the world rare bird and black necked cranes.

 

Day 5 - Phobjikha to Paro

Duration - 6 hours

Post breakfast we will go back to Paro via Dochula and Thimphu. In paro we will visit the following:

Paro Dzong- a huge structure of the fortress built in the 17th century

National museum- exquisitely unique and different from any other museum in the world

The evening will witness the visiting of Paro town and making you feel comfortable and at home with surroundings.

You can enjoy the visit to 8th century Kyichu Lhakhang and the outdoor activities like wearing Gho (the national dress) and play archery outdoor HBT centre.

 

Day 6- Sightseeing in Paro

After breakfast, we will drive you to the base camp. From here, you will begin the hike to tiger nest temple

About the tiger nest temple- it is also known as Taktsang monastery and built around a cave that is famous as guru Rimpoche's meditating site. The monastery is 8th century old and perched on a rock. It is considered one of the most recommended places to visit on the list of places to visit before you die. 

 

Hiking duration - approx 2 hours- uphill 30-40 degrees for an average trekker

It may even take a full day for those hiking at a slow pace

The first half of hike is tough but thereafter the scenic beauty embraces you and fills in you the zeal to go further.

After a day of hiking, to relax your muscles you will be going for a hot stone bath with dinner in the farmhouse. Heavenly isn’t it? This bath not only saves you money but also is a traditional therapy to heal your body inside to outside.

 

Day 7- Beautiful stay coming to an end in the place so serene and peaceful.
