9 Benefits of Mayurasana

Mayurasana is a well-known peacock pose, a hand-balancing pose. Mayurasana is the oldest non-seated Pose or Asana. It has been derived from the Sanskrit word Mayura means peacock, Asana means Pose.   3. Drop your head on the floor and fill the strength in your stomach.
  4. Stretch your legs out with your knees straight and the upper part of your feet facing the floor.
  5. Tighten your buttocks, raise your head, shoulders blades must be firm, and push them into your back.
  6. Shift your body weight forward and lift your legs up; your body must be balanced on your hands just parallel to the floor.
  7. Start it holding for a few seconds and then for a minute.
  8. Release by dropping your head down and feet on the floor. Relax.
