Best Yoga asanas which give great results when paired with meditation are as under :
- Quarter Lotus Pose ( Pada padmasana)
A variation of the lotus pose and is highly recommended for meditation and chanting mantras. For this pose, you need to sit on a yoga mat with an upright stance with crossed legs. Place the right foot on the calf of the left leg and vice versa. Fold hands in Anjali Mudra in front of the heart centre. Hold this to meditate as long as you are comfortable.
- Lotus Pose (Padmasana)
This is the ultimate yoga asana which helps to sit for long durations in meditation. It is traditionally revered for its calming nature and several ancient texts claim that it awakens the Kundalini Energy. To perform this asana, you need to sit on the floor with legs stretched in front of you and then bend your knees and interweave the legs with both feet placed atop opposite thighs. Place your palms in Jnana Mudra. Meditate for long hours.
- Seiza Pose (Vajrasana):
Seiza is a propped-up Hero Pose, which enables the meditation process for longer hours. For Vajrasana, kneel on the floor. Sit between the feet and press the top of the feet into the floor. Fold the hands in Gyan Mudra. It is essential to locate a bolster between thighs and calves as you sit for this posture.
